“I need to eat healthier’ has been my declaration for a number of years, but it was too overwhelming a goal for me to tackle on my own. I wanted to eat healthier as well as shed a few pounds, feel better, lower my cholesterol and blood pressure and ultimately get off my diabetes medication.
Becoming a member of FitSparkles was an eye opener. We had guided sessions with Coach Fola to educate us, incorporate new recipes, teach us new strategies all while she was checking in and encouraging us along the way. I started seeing results in just a few months. At my regular check-ups, my labs came back to normal, so I started reducing my medication. All the whole foods recommended by Coach Fola and other FitSparkles members were working because I now had workable healthy strategies for managing my high blood sugar and my blood pressure.
Do I feel better? Yes! I feel better physically, and I’m positive about healthy eating without having to deny myself the foods I love. An unexpected bonus is the fun we have doing all this. It’s definitely been a fun-filled FitSparkles journey.”
